Armando Massimiliano Sirolla, Chief Executive Officer


Mr. Armando Masimiliano Sirolla has an experience of more than 15 years within managerial, banking and financial services and has been an integral part of several executives’ leadership teams. Prior joining AccessBank Tanzania, Mr. Sirolla worked as the Chief Executive Officer for AccessBank in Zambia for almost 5 years. He was engaged in different financial projects globally (Afghanistan, Madagascar and South Africa) and played a great roles on establishing and supporting financial institutions under his leadership. Mr. Sirolla holds a Magistral Doctoral degree (‘Laurea Magistrale’) in International Politics & Economics from University of Padua, Italy as well as MA International Studies & Diplomacy from the School of Oriental & African Studies (SOAS), University of London, UK. He speaks Italian, English, French, Portuguese, Spanish.

Julius Ruwaichi, Chief Financial Officer & Deputy CEO


Julius joined AccessBank Tanzania in March 2016 as Chief Financial Officer (CFO). Prior to joining AccessBank Tanzania Ltd, he worked for a similar role (CFO) at NIC Bank in Tanzania. For over eight years, he worked in different roles in finance department including Financial Controller roles for both Standard Chartered Bank Tanzania and NBC Bank.  Julius worked as an auditor with PwC for 5 year before joining banking career. He is a qualified Accountant, member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA), he holds MBA from the East & Southern Africa Management Institute (ESAMI), a B.Sc. in Applied Accounting (Oxford Brookes University tgt w/ ACCA) and a B.Sc. in Engineering from University of Dar es Salaam. Mr. Julius speaks English, Swahili and very basic French.

Prosper Gwemella, Chief Business Officer


Mr. Prosper Gwemella joined AccessBank Tanzania in October 2007 as a Trainee Loan officer and there after worked as a Loan Officer before being promoted to Senior Loan officer in 2008. He helped set-up AccessBank’s Risk and Recovery Unit in 2009 and later became Branch Manager in 2011. In 2013, he became the first Regional Manager who introduced Agro-lending in the Lake Zone and was then promoted to Head of Region and Head of Agro-lending in 2016 while being part of the Extended Management team. In 2018 he became Acting Chief Business Officer and was then later confirmed as Chief Business Officer of AccessBank Tanzania in March 2019. He is a Certified Public Accountant CPA (T), holds a Master of Science in Accounting and Finance from Mzumbe University and a Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Economics and Agro-business from Sokoine University of Agriculture. Mr. Prosper speaks fluent English and Swahili.

Tunu Lwoga, Chief Risk Officer


Ms. Tunu Lwoga is currently the Chief Risk Officer at Accessbank Tanzania, her core responsibility is to ensure adequate and effective risk management across various functions at the bank. Ms. Tunu has  8 years of experience in the banking industry through various managerial and leadership positions. She has held various positions at Letshego Holding and Letshego Banks as Group Risk and Compliance Manager for East and West Africa and Chief Risk Officer. She was engaged in various projects in Botswana and across the Holding (AML Automation Project and MSME Business Implementation), while also performing various training’s that were in collaboration with external Consultants. Ms. Tunu played major roles in establishing Risk Departments in various African countries while also training their teams. She was part of the Transformation Leadership Team. She holds a Master of Business Administration specializing in Corporate Management, from Mzumbe University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from the College of Business Education. She speaks fluent English and Swahili.
